What can I expect from my veneer procedure?
When you visit our clinic, our dentists can discuss your options. Once we determine whether you are suitable for veneers, we will prepare your teeth. This involves removing a minimal amount of the teeth’s enamel in order to make room for the veneer. The amount of alteration will depend on the position and shape of the teeth.
Our dentists will then take impressions of your teeth that are going to be fitted with veneers. Whilst this is being made, we will fit natural-looking temporary veneers to protect your teeth against sensitivity.
A bespoke set of veneers will then be constructed to carefully match the shape and colour of your teeth. These cannot be treated with whitening gels, so they will need to be the final colour of your teeth. These are then placed on the teeth with a strong bonding material so that you can enjoy your new, brighter smile. Veneers function like normal teeth, so will need to be treated with care. With the right care, they can last for decades.
