Composite Bonding on a Discoloured Tooth
This patient came to Smile Dental Implants at Surrey and had no significant issues with his teeth. His primary concern pertained to the discoloured upper left central incisor, which exhibited an old filling and staining.
During our consultation, we explored the potential solutions, which included the options of a porcelain veneer or composite bonding. After careful consideration, the patient chose the more cost-effective bonding procedure. This involved the removal of the old filling, as well as the polishing of the enamel surface to address the existing stain.
Subsequently, we applied layers of composite white filling with varying opacities to effectively conceal the discolouration, followed by a thorough polishing process to achieve optimal cosmetic results. The patient expressed great satisfaction with the final outcome and is now contemplating undergoing Invisalign treatment to enhance both his bite and smile.
